About Ed Henkin

A fourth generation real estate professional, Ed Henkin's experience is extensive and deep. A graduate of Tulane University and Cardozo School of Law, Ed worked during and after law school closing loans for large banks. He is fluent in the title and bank loan process. Since 1988 Ed has been developing luxury properties, and for 20 years he simultaneously ran a property management company. Over the years he has built, renovated and resold numerous homes from Southampton to Amagansett.

Ed and his wife moved to East Hampton full time in 2013 after raising their three children in Miami. They have spent summers in the Hamptons since 2000. During the last few years Ed has been involved in 19 deals valued at over $40 million, and he decided it was time to dedicate himself full time to real estate sales.

Ed and his wife, Susan, are active members of the local community. Susan is currently Executive Director of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation, where Ed serves on the building committee helping guide the process of repurposing an historic building as an aquatics center and performing arts center. They are also members of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons.

To his customers and clients, in addition to his broad experience, Ed brings his extensive knowledge of the building department as well as land use professionals, architects and contractors. He has a deep understanding of the Hamptons market and an acute eye for unlocking a property's potential and upside. Ed treats the needs and preferences of his customers and clients as if they were his own, to find the perfect home for each buyer and the ideal buyer for every home. Ed is based in Saunders' East Hampton office.
